This past weekend I had the opportunity to race my first women’s pro stage race. Having never raced 4 races in 3 days I knew it would be an adventure, but I was ready for the challenge! In the end I finished 19th/44, and am super pumped to get two top 10 stage finishes! I was disappointed to fall out of the top 10 on the final day, but I learned a lot about fuelling over back-to-back races and pack positioning on windy race courses. All in all it was a great weekend, and I want to give a shout-out to my TaG team mates. Special props to Maggie Coles-Lyster for standing on the podium 3 times, and winning the final stage, and to Esta Bovill for crushing the hill climb and finishing 6th in the GC. Big thank you to TaG Cycling Race Team for the awesome support at Tour de Bloom, and to Speed Theory for making sure my bike was in tip top shape for racing!
Next up for me is a trip to Holland to race the Delta Lloyd Regatta – a laser radial EuroSAF Cup, and then it’s back home to prep for Road Nationals in June.
